Specially crafted for Gongbi, Chinoiserie, and boneless (mogu) styles, this surface is also highly suitable for ink painting, calligraphy, watercolor, and mixed media techniques.

The non-absorbent, hard-sized surface prevents bleeding and smearing, offering excellent control for creating smooth gradients, luminous washes, and precise details. Compatible with masking fluid, gouache, and acrylics, this textured paper responds beautifully to a wide range of painting methods.

Important Note on Mounting: > While this silk-textured paper is ready to paint on directly (Weight: 50 GSM), it remains a beautifully thin and delicate material. To prevent buckling during heavy water washes, or to prepare your finished piece for framing, we highly recommend dry-mounting it to a heavier watercolor board or backing paper. You can easily do this either before or after painting using our [Silicone Mounting Paper].
