How to use:
- Cut the Silicone Mounting Paper to match the size of your artwork or slightly smaller.
- Position the silicone release paper, film side facing down, onto the backing board of your choice (museum board, foam board, vellum, watercolor paper, bristol paper, etc.).
- Set your iron to a temperature of 180°F (or adjust it to be halfway between the silk and wool settings). No water spray is needed. If the table surface is slippery, place four layers of denim cloth underneath the board for stability.
- Peel off the release paper from the silicone adhesive, saving it for use in step 7.
- If necessary, trim any excess adhesive film along the board edges using a rotary cutting knife or scissors.
- Lightly spray the front of the artwork with water to relax any wrinkles, if needed. Please keep water drops outside the dry mounting area.
- Lay the artwork face up on the adhesive film and cover it with the saved release paper from step 4.
- Start ironing from the center and move outward, first in a cross pattern and then in X movements to ensure even heat distribution and to avoid trapping air bubbles. Keep the iron moving and avoid concentrating heat in one area.
