Inspired by a poinsettia masterpiece from Yu Zhizhen 俞致貞 (1915–1995)—the renowned female Gongbi master.
Bright winter reds, poised lines, holiday sparkle. We’ll compose a graceful spray of poinsettia in classic Gongbi: refined contour, luminous layers, elegant spacing. The poinsettia—dramatic red bracts surrounding tiny yellow-green cyathia—perfectly suits Gongbi’s clarity and glow. To celebrate the season, we’ll also inscribe “Merry Christmas!” in Chinese calligraphy.
Who it’s for: lovers of watercolor florals, Gongbi or chinoiserie art, calm linework, and rich yet clean color.
You’ll leave with: a poised study ready to gift or display, plus HD recording links (YouTube replay + Dropbox resources).
Instructor: Victoria Li — Gongbi specialist known for elegant florals, clear step pacing, and luminous color stacking; co-founder of Blue Heron Arts and a favorite for approachable, easy-to-paint-along demos.
