Made of mulberry tree leaves and inner bark (also known as Pi Paper), Mulberry #1 has a smooth and fine texture, smoother than Mulberry #2. It is PH neutral and archival, with semi-sized absorbency that smears less than Xuan paper. It works well with most water-based art media including watercolors and fluid acrylics.
Mulberry #1 is suitable for landscapes, animals, birds, flowers, and other similar subjects. It is perfect for Sumi-e or Chinese brush painting, and also good for Calligraphy, Mounting, Rubbing, Stamping, Kite, Lantern, Window Covering, and Collage.
Each sheet measures 18"x 30" (47cm x 76cm). You can purchase Mulberry Paper #1 in bundles of 10, 30, or 100 sheets.
