Crafted traditionally in Jing County, Anhui Province, China, our Double Xuan rice paper is handmade from a blend of rice straw and wild vine bark fibers. This paper is created by pressing two layers of thin Xuan paper into one, resulting in a cotton-white sheet with a fine, smooth texture.
Ideal for painting vibrant flowers, birds, animals, and landscapes, Double Xuan paper offers exceptional absorbency and minimal smearing compared to single Xuan paper. Its forgiving nature with excessive moisture enhances brushstrokes, adding depth and richness to your artwork.
Favored by artists with a watercolor background, this paper is versatile and suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners of Chinese brush painting or sumi-e.
